Giving

God invites us to live generous lives, and part of that is investing in his church with our gifts of time, energy, effort, and money. In giving, we also allow the church to function, flourish, and serve. There many ways to give to WCC are described below.

If you would like to give to the Kingsgrove Community Hub (KCH,  previously known as the WCC Building Fund) then please go to the Hub's giving page here.

I would like to make a Bank Transfer

If you wish to make a one-off donation, or set up a standing order for regular donations, then please instruct your bank to make payment to the church’s bank account, details of which are below.   Please note that although the account name is that of charity of which we are a part rather than that of our church, transfers made using this bank account number will come direct to WCC.   You can make a transfer using your own online or telephone banking service.  It helps us to make sure your donation is used appropriately if you describe your donation in the reference associated with the transfer.

Sort-code:                  20-97-48
Account number:   80679941
Reference:                 e.g. "WCC Gift", "WCC Tithe"
Account name:        Oxfordshire Community Churches
Bank Name:              Barclays Bank
Branch Address:     30 Market Square, Witney, OX28 6BJ

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can also give us permission to claim Gift Aid on your donation by making a Gift Aid Declaration.  This is really valuable to us as it increases the amount we receive by 25% without costing you anything.  You can give us permission to claim Gift Aid on your donation.  If you would like to do this then please email giving@wantagecc.org.uk

I would like to make a donation now

Please click the Donate button at the bottom of this or any of the pages on our website.

This will allow you use a credit or debit card to make a one-off or regular donation.  Do please be aware that this does involve a small commission being taken by the system that enables these payments.  You will not incur any extra expense because of this, but is does subtract a small amount from the total received by the church.  You will be given the opportunity to increase your gift to cover these costs.  You will also be given the opportunity to give us permission to claim Gift Aid on your donation.

I would like to give in person

On Sunday mornings you can give in person using our contactless giving points (to give by credit or debit card, as well as by Apple Pay or Google Pay on your smart device) or our offering box (for cheques and cash).

I would like to manage my donations and gift aiding using My ChurchSuite

If you are already a member of the church and you have access to the church’s My ChurchSuite system then you can see the donations you have already made to the church, as well as make regular or one-off donations, in the My Giving section of the system. You can also manage your Gift Aid Declaration(s) there.

If you would like to register for the ChurchSuite system, so that you can easily donate online, you can request this by emailing churchsuite@wantagecc.org.uk.

To make a donation in My ChurchSuite, please do so using the following steps:

  1. Go to My Giving in the menu (on the left-hand side of the page in a browser or via the button in the bottom right hand corner of the app).
  2. Select the the +Donate button on the top right-hand corner of the page.
  3. Enter the amount you want to donate.
  4. Choose the frequency of your donation (whether it’s a one-off or weekly etc.)
  5. Choose where you want your donation to go to using the dropdown list next to Fund to select
    • Wantage Community Church to make a general donation to our church
  6. Follow the remaining onscreen instructions to complete your donation.

Thank you for supporting Wantage Community Church!
