Prayer and Waiting - Lent 2026

We invite you to join us at Wantage Community Church in our prayer journey this Lent.

This Lent we’re going to be following Pete Greig’s God on Mute Lent plan: Prayer and Waiting:

Lent helps us to prepare our hearts to be open once again to Jesus, the importance of his coming into the world and the effect that his presence should have in and on our lives. It reminds us of the significance of Jesus death and resurrection for our lives both now and for eternity. One of the aspects of Lent is that it often highlights the waiting that is part of our Christian walk and the seeming disappointments and unanswered prayers we find ourselves with.

We will be seeking to explore these themes particularly during two Sunday Sessions

8th March at 3pm Space to go deeper followed by sharing a simple meal together - details here.

22nd March at 7pm Space to Grieve & lament and express our longings to God - details here.
